Snap Shots - ALL 8 x 10s

All of these are an 8x10 format.

I came back from Russia very motivated about doing smaller sketches after seeing all of the numerous color notes by Aleksei Bielykh at his studio in Kostroma.

As much as I prefer to paint larger, more arm movement and less nit picky wrist stuff, I was very excited with the idea of getting back to color notes again.

After getting into these for the last month now I have found that I am really enjoying capturing these smaller scenes, what I am referring to as "Snap Shots".
Already had a couple of collectors refer to them as little gems.

As I noted earlier there were so many wonderful scenes in Russia as well as Cape Ann, Vermont, and of course Maine, so it is really nice to have a chance to explore some of those and begin the process of what may or may not become a larger painting.
Plus it also gives me a chance to jump around to many different selections versus spending a lot of time working larger on only a couple of them.
